Addis Ababa, July 7, 2022 (Ethiopia) – The Ethiopian Government is committed to abolish terrorist groups operating in country said Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed while addressing queries raised by lawmakers today.
The lawmakers grilled the Prime Minister on a number of issues including security and economy.
The PM who highlighted the fact that terrorism is one of the challenges of modern day global order vowed to abolish terrorists operating in Ethiopia.
“The Ethiopian security forces have been sacrificing their life every single day to eliminate terrorists groups,” said the PM.
According to the PM, security forces have been able to thwart a number of plots planned to be executed in different parts of the country including Addis Ababa.
He said that Ethiopia has been facing coordinated plots from domestic and external forces who aspire to destabilize the country.
Acknowledging the government role to maintain law and order, he called for citizens’ cooperation to make lasting change.
