Addis Ababam, February 01, 2023 (Walta) – The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) named Derartu Tulu, Haile Gebresilassie and Professor Ahmed Zekaria as in its recognition for institutions and individuals played an irreplaceable role for the peace and stability of the region.
Assistant Commissioner Athlete Derartu Tulu is recognized for her consistent work to be voice of peace following the conflict in northern Ethiopia.
IGAD recognized total of 21 individuals for similar prominent contribution in fighting natural and man-made crises.
