Addis Ababa, May 04, 2023 (Walta) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed discussed the current situation of Sudan with the Special Envoy of the President of the Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan this afternoon.
The Prime Minister said that it is Ethiopia’s strong belief that Sudan can come out of the current problem in a short period of time by utilizing their own wisdom and Knowledge.
Prime Minister Abiy on his Twitter handle called all parties to resolve the conflict through peaceful dialogue. “I have called upon the conflicting parties to resolve their differences through dialogue,” he tweeted.
The Prime Minister, on behalf of the Ethiopian Government, has written a series of letters calling the two sides to stop the fighting and return to a peaceful dialogue.
In his April 20, 2023, letter, PM Abiy warned any outside parties from interfering in Sudan’s internal matters.
