Addis Ababa, March 22, 2021 (Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on yesterday held a meeting with the leadership of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF).
The Premier wrote on his Facebook that “I expressed pride in our forces as guardian of peace and protectors of sovereignty.”
Abiy also urged members of the National Defense Forces to strengthen discipline and professionalism.
“I also cautioned them on the need to strengthen discipline and professionalism, holding accountable those that undertake deeds in any operation which do not represent the ENDF values and rewarding those that do,” he underlined.
He further added accountability and disciplinary gaps will be addressed through the appropriate channels.
