Addis Ababa, July 30, 2021 (Walta) – President Sahlework Zewde held talks with Martin Griffiths, the recently appointed Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, Coordinator.
The two spoke about the security situation and the humanitarian efforts in the Tigray region.
The Under-Secretary-General emphasized his intention to address the needs of Ethiopia as a whole and that he is committed to strengthening the relationship between Ethiopia and the UN OCHA.
The President stressed the need to strengthen the relations with UNOCHA to address the pressing humanitarian challenges.
