Addis Ababa, 04 June 2015 (WIC) – The Council of Ministers approved today a 223-billion-397-million-819-thousand and 261 birr budget for the upcoming Ethiopian Fiscal Year.
The budget approved by the council has grown by 20 percent over the178.6 billion birr the previous year.
From the total budget, 37.4 percent is allotted to capital expenditure, 34.7 percent to support regional governments, 22.6 percent for regular expenditure, and 5.4 percent for sustainable development projects.
The approved budget is referred to the House of People’s Representatives for endorsement, it was learned. (ENA)
