‘Dine for Ethiopia’ Projects to Unleash Ecotourism, Investment

Addis Ababa, April 12, 2021 (Walta) – The ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ projects will offer the untapped opportunity for investments in ecotourism, agro-processing, and apparel manufacturing and food industries, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.

 

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ Tourism Attraction Projects in Wench, Gorgora, and Koysha located in Oromia, Amhara, and SNNP regional states on August 14, 2020.

 

By February 2021 Ethiopians from every corner helped mobilize 4.2 billion Birr to go towards these projects exceeding the initial target of 3 billion birr.

 

Prime Minister Abiy has also officially launched the start of the Koysha development project on February 21, 2021, and followed by Gorgora and Wenchi, all within a span of 4 weeks.

 

According to the office of the Prime Minister, ‘Dine for Ethiopia’ projects will offer the untapped opportunity for investments in ecotourism, agro-processing, and apparel manufacturing and food industries.

 

Endowed with natural assets, culture, and history, Koysha, Gorgora, and Wenchi projects will also enable decent work, livelihoods, and return on investments for all stakeholders.

 

Through the facilitation of basic infrastructure, multidimensional investments centered on tourism, recreation, and hospitality are expected to catalyze the local economies and create many job opportunities, the Office added.
