Addis Ababa, April 7, 2024 (Addis Walta) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) stated that Ethiopia stands with people of Rwanda as the country commemorated the 30th years of the 1994 genocide.
PM Abiy on his social media wrote, “Ethiopia stands with the people of Rwanda as you commemorate ‘Kwibuka30’.
Rwanda has begun 100 days of commemorations to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1994 genocide, in which 800,000 people had been killed.
On April 6, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew arrived in Kigali, Rwanda on an official visit.
